Beginner Yogi Challenge
Begin your journey to yoga expertise by focusing on breathing, posture, and curvature of the spine. Paying attention to your breath and staying present is the most important piece of successful yoga. Mastering the poses becomes much more difficult when your mind is elsewhere. Perform one of the below sequences as part of your daily workout routine. If you find yourself unable to perform the entire series, do as much as you can and make it your goal to add every day.
Quick Tips:
- Stay hydrated with your Glasstic bottle! Your body will respond differently to every pose you perform, and depending on your fitness level, some poses may work your heart and muscles more than others.
- You’ll find the greatest benefit from your yoga practice if you commit to doing it daily, even if it’s for 20 minutes. Because Day 7 included more than one series, take Day 8 to focus on stretching and breathing techniques.
- If you’re starting your yoga practice with poor flexibility, make sure to listen to and observe your body. If you start to feel like your muscles may cramp or like you’re stretching too far, modify the pose to meet your comfort level.
