As we brainstormed ideas about how best to design Glasstic we constantly thought of the desire to make the bottle in such a way as to make them customizable by us or our customers. It doesn’t get much better than a custom glass water bottle which you can change the look of daily, weekly, or monthly for relatively low cost and effort vs purchasing separate printed bottles that offer very little design options to choose from, especially when it comes to glass water bottles.
We’d like to highlight two methods that can be used to make custom Glasstic water bottles using simple things like window clings or printed transparency sheets that are then laminated to make them longer lasting. These options make for quick little DIY projects along with possibly trips to fun stores like Michaels, Hobby Lobby or any other store with craft or scrapbooking supplies that sells window clings. In two separate upcoming posts we will provide more details, photos and step by step instructions about each of the following methods.
Glasstic with Window Cling
The quickest method for making a custom Glasstic water bottle is to purchase any small sized window cling(s) and add them to either the glass bottle insert or the protective outer shell. The things that are so nice about window clings is that they last for a surprisingly long time if you ‘maintain’ them, they are relatively inexpensive, and they are very easy to apply any way you like to make your custom Glasstic bottle exactly how YOU like it! In a future post we will explain in detail how to use window clings to customize Glasstic quickly and easily.
Glasstic with Style Insert
The best way to transform your Glasstic into your very own unique custom glass water bottle is to print on a transparency sheet and then laminate this before cutting to size to fit inside the protective outer shell between it and the glass bottle insert. This method requires some materials and access to a printer plus ideally a laminating machine and a cutting device but the final result can be a complete transformation and fun change of pace for your Glasstic glass water bottle. In a future post we will detail step by step how to create these custom Style Inserts in addition to providing a template that can be used to properly size your designs so they fit nicely inside your Glasstic.
