Americans throw away over 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour with 90% of these ending up in landfills. Cotton is commonly called the world’s ‘dirtiest’ crop due to the heavy use of hazardous insecticides in it’s farming and manufacturing. The harmful pesticides used in the production of traditional, non-organic cotton end up in the ground, air, water and food supply.
What if a company is determined to make a positive environmental change by providing fashion-forward apparel made of recycled plastic bottles and organic cotton, aiming to help reduce the plastic water bottle and cotton waste while donating proceeds to charitable causes? Enter Mad Leaf.
