Kiwis are packed with more vitamin C than an equivalent amount of oranges and contain numerous phytonutrients as well as vitamins and minerals that promote your health. When selecting a kiwi, hold it between your thumb and forefinger and gently apply pressure; those that have the sweetest taste will yield gently to pressure. Avoid those that are very soft, shriveled or have bruised or damp spots.
Ingredients
2 kiwis, peeled
1 1/4 cups chopped watermelon
2 large, juicy limes, peel and pith removed
1 tablespoon chia seeds, optional to replace fiber lost in juicing process
Directions
Juice in this order following your juicer’s specific settings for each: the kiwis, then the watermelon and finally the limes. Stir in the chia seeds if using and let soak for 5 minutes. Serve the juice immediately over ice, if desired.
Makes 1 serving (8 to 10 ounces)
