GlassDharma is inviting people to participate in their 7th Annual Earth Day Project where they will give away thousands of free glass straws. This “Plastic Is Drastic” awareness project will run through Earth Day, April 22, 2015.
Participants are asked to view a video and answer some multiple choice questions under the guidance of GlassDharma’s own animated “Sipper Hero”, the GlassDharma Dude. At the conclusion of the question series, there will be a resource list provided for you to keep informed on the current scientific finding of plastics and how the accumulation of this material impacts our planet.
Participants who complete the 3 step process will get a $10.00 coupon code. The coupon code will cover the cost of an Earth Day Straw plus shipping within the USA. If you do not want to order an Earth Day Straw (available in two diameters- 9.5mm & 12mm X 5″ +/- 1/4″) GlassDharma will allow you to apply the code towards $7.00 off a different straw and $3 off shipping charges, including international orders.
The 3 step process is simple:

Answer multiple choice questions
Fill out the form including your name and email address
Please note they request only one entry per person/email address.
We at Glasstic Bottle along with our friends at GlassDharma encourage you to keep and use their resource list so you can continue learning about why plastic is so dangerous to our environment and how we can – individually and collectively – change our decisions and daily habits to save our planet. As you celebrate Earth Day, think about how one simple reusable item – like a glass straw or glass water bottle – can keep tons of single use plastic waste from clogging our landfills and waterways. Together we can and will make a difference!

don’t like drinking out of plastic. Want a glass container. Enough chemicals out there.. Also Made in USA!!!!??
Meg H. says
They changed their offer – they no longer will pay for shipping, and it costs $3!! 😛 Oh well… 🙁
Team Glasstic says
They did indeed. Apparently the demand was much more than they expected this year and as a small business they just can’t sustain the cost of all the additional unexpected shipping. Still a good deal though, a free glass straw for just $3 shipping cost. Any way we can cut down plastic waste is a good thing.
