We’re including one free foam bottle brush for easy cleaning with every order of one or more Glasstic Water Bottles and due to popular demand for more of the bottle brushes, we have made the foam bottle brush available for purchase.
With all reusable water bottles it’s important to practice standard hygiene. To avoid bacterial contamination be sure to clean your bottle daily, especially when it has held anything other than water. Sugary beverages in particular can provide food for microbes and encourage faster growth.
Caring for your Glasstic Shatterproof Glass Water Bottle is simple due to the bottle’s unique design:
Glasstic easily disassembles into four main pieces for cleaning:
There are three silicone seals – one in the leak proof lid, one on the neck of the glass insert and one in the bottom base.
To Disassemble:
1. Screw off the top cap and bottom base from outer shell
2. With base and cap removed, place bottle upright on a table or other hard surface
3. Put one hand on top of the bottle (touching the glass) while holding the outside of the protective shell with the other hand
4. While pushing down on the glass insert, pull the outer shell up releasing glass from outer plastic shell
5. Slide the outer shell upwards and over the glass bottle to separate into two pieces
6. Remove the three silicone rings (one in the cap, one in the base and one on the neck of the glass insert)
Cleaning:
To clean, first disassemble all the components.
Hand wash: Put a squirt of dish soap and a bit of water into the glass insert and use a bottle brush, sponge, dish rag or paper towel along the entire interior and exterior surface to clean the outer shell, glass insert, flip lid, bottom base and silicone seals. Rinse thoroughly. Allow all pieces to dry thoroughly and reassemble ensuring all silicone seals are in place to insure a leak-proof seal.
Dishwasher: The outer shell*, flip lid and bottom base should be placed on the top shelf of the dishwasher. The glass insert can go on the top or bottom shelf. Reassemble when all pieces are thoroughly dry making sure all three silicone seals are in place to insure a leak-proof seal.
*Handwashing is recommended for outer shells with designs to preserve the design.
Please note:
– Handwashing is recommended for the silicone seals
– Dishwasher temperatures may vary. Please use top shelf only on Normal Wash
To Reassemble:
1. Replace the silicone seals in the flip lid and bottom base, and around glass insert neck.
2. Push glass insert firmly into protective shell until bottom of glass is flush with bottom of shell
3. Screw base tightly onto bottom of protective shell to insure glass insert is firmly seated in place
4. Screw cap on tightly to insure proper seal with bottle
