It’s hard to believe it’s already time for school to start again. It seems like just yesterday we were wishing for summer to start.
With classes around the corner, there are all kinds of stresses that come with the first day of school whether you are the parent or the student.
The school season can be stressful no matter your age. As a parent, you hope your child is safe, learning and making friends. As a student, you’re hoping to pass your classes, hangout with friends and/or start the sports season.
Glasstic has provided a few tips to get you back to school and motivated for the year to start. As we all know, getting back into school mode can be the most difficult part about starting classes as long summer breaks and vacations won’t return for another year.
- Hydrate: this may seem obvious, but trust us, it needs to be said. Dehydration amongst children is actually a serious problem in the United States. Excessive dehydration can cause a ton of problems in individuals of all ages. A recent study revealed that more than half of all children and adolescents in the US are not getting enough hydration, which can impact physical and mental health. Remember to pack your child’s Glasstic water bottle and make sure they are staying hydrated throughout the day.
- Get on a routine: the routine is honestly one of the hardest part. Over the last few months on summer break, instead of waking up early, I’m sure most of us slept in and ruined our sleep schedule. Try fixing you or your child’s sleep schedule a few days before classes start and don’t mess it up by staying up late on the weekends.
- Get Involved: join clubs or school sports. This will help make friends and keep you or your child fit throughout the year. Just remember to keep extra hydrated while playing sports. It’s easy to get distracted by the fun activities and excitement, but keeping hydrated is crucial to your health.
- Bring supplies: remember supplies. With all the anxiety of the first day, it can be easy to forget the basics like a pencil, notebook, syllabus and water bottle. Try making a list and check off everything you put in the backpack the night before. It will help you stay organized and prepared for the school year to start.
We are excited for all of our Glasstic friends and family to start the school year again. We wish the best of luck on your first days of class and remember to keep hydrated and prepared with your Glasstic water bottle.
