We received a sample of Bottle Bright, the safe, easy and natural cleaner for drinking vessels from Clean Ethics, and our founder put it to the test. Here’s what he has to say:
“When I first received a free sample of Bottle Bright I was not sure it would be all that useful to me as I exclusively use Glasstic as my everyday glass water bottle. With Glasstic being so easy to take apart and clean with the included free bottle brush, I just didn’t see the need. Boy was I wrong!
Bottle Bright is a perfect solution for not only removing mineral build up from my Glasstic water bottle but it does a fantastic job of deep cleaning things like travel coffee mugs that get dirty and coffee stained. I even tried cleaning and old unused coffee pot that had been sitting around and I was amazed at the results after a relatively short time and very little to no scrubbing.
The foaming action of the product creates the same type of effect as that of Alka Seltzer tablets in water except with Bottle Bright the bubbles are deep cleaning your container while you sit back and let the bubbles do all the hard work.
As you can see below, I allowed a Glasstic glass bottle insert, left side of the first image, to become built up with a large amount of minerals. The clean glass bottle insert on the right hand side is for comparison purposes in both pictures. I collected so many minerals using Kangan Water where the highly charged minerals are attracted to the glass. Normally I would use a solution of distilled white vinegar and water or 4.5 PH Kangan Water to remove such mineral buildup. The soak time for these solutions is 30 minutes or longer and even then I still have to use my bottle brush to clean the minerals out of the bottle. With Bottle Bright after approx. 30 minutes of soaking, the second image, I ended up with a pretty good result. I simply swished the bottle, poured the liquid out and rinsed. The results can be seen in the left side of the third image, where most of the minerals have been removed with little or no effort.
Since there were still a few minerals left in the insert, very few but noticeable, I decided to use hot water, per instructions for deep cleaning, and let the piece soak for a few hours. As you can see in the left-hand side of the fourth image, this pretty much removed all the minerals and left me with the feeling that if I would have let the initial soak last longer Bottle Bright would have pretty much wiped out all the minerals completely. Overall I am very happy with what Bottle Bright was able to do with such extreme stuck-on minerals in such a short amount of time with little or no scrubbing.
This picture shows a before and after of an old plastic coffee travel mug that had not been cleaned for some time. This was soaked for approx. 30 minutes per the instructions and then swished and rinsed. It is somewhat difficult to see from the picture but I can assure you that the brown film from the coffee is now mostly gone and all the little scrapes, nooks and crannies where the dirt and grime builds up appear to be pretty clean. Again, no scrubbing! I didn’t clean the top, just wiped dry after rinsing.
Although I received a free sample of Bottle Bright in exchange for testing and reviewing the product I can assure you that I will be buying more when I am out. The bag I received contains 10 Effervescent Tablets and these should last a while.”

I bought Bottle Bright on Amazon before and was truly amazed at how clean it got my coffee thermos! It had so much build up that I really thought I’d have to replace it, but one use of Bottle Bright cleaned it up as good as new! I continued using it and have a few tabs left, I plan to reorder soon but would love a free pack!
